Well I've made it back home safely in one piece from my trip up north. Of course I took plenty of pictures! New york was cold and compact, yet still strong and vibrant! I think my timing was just right because they are expecting a snowstorm this weekend. I'll take balmy over cold and snow any day!
Often we take for granted how easy and simple our lives might be. We get in our cars, turn the heat on in the winter, take a 10-15 minute drive to and from work and make casual stops by the grocery store. We never think twice about it and our lives our somewhat lighthearted at best with few trials and tribulations.
After being here for sometime you get why some appear to be hardened, prickly and down right rude. I heard someone say move to another person on the subway. No I think he said move please! At least he used please!
The walks down 5th in a 25 degree wind chill were brutal. For a southerner that's a little cold. The subway rides were interesting, it's a dugeon down there if you don't know what you are doing.
There was ice skating!
My son I think enjoyed himself even though he spent a lot of the trip with what you see in his hand! He doesn't leave home without it!
He likes to call our downtown the "big city", I wanted to show him a true big city!
I said I would only share a few photos today...believe me there are many more photos of my trip. I will share a few more later and then I will try to get back to the crafty stuff! Until later everyone!
