Never grow up...

I think it's true that you always return to the things you love and my most vivid memories are always of me doing some type of drawing or coloring and painting.  Always...it seems fit that I've been wanting to get back to that lately. You'll notice a lot more fun little sketches of frames and flowers, oh and clouds scattered throughout my layouts. I guess it's the kick that I'm on now...I sure hope it last because it's been fun.  

And clouds...what a fun little trend that's going on now...I'll try not to use them too much!

For this layout I wanted to create a little scene of hanging frames. Once again I got lots of inspiration from pinterest...This one came from a room painting in chalkboard paint and little frames were drawn around the room.  I thought it was quite modern and could be transformed into a layout. 

Another inspiration here was a 6x6 paper pack from basic grey! Did you know that basic grey has two new lines at Joann's.  I couldn't believe it because they don't generally have anything other than basic paper and stickers. So I scooped up this one called "shine on" and the papers were all so pretty! At 40% off you can't beat that!

I couldn't help myself with the yellow either...I used a stencil to cut out the letter g on a paint chip swatch. Now that's yellow! I also backed it with another one in a blue tone. 

I love the personality that the frames and flowers add to the layout and plus it adds plenty of dimension. I'm starting to go through pop dots like crazy!
