There was once a time when I was enamored with the thought of vacationing in miami for different reasons then I have for visiting now. I used to adore the night life, all the students and young people that trickled in during the hot summer months and the heat. Yes the heat never bothered me much but now I notice a difference.
I notice the things that never really seemed bothersome, the parking situation is atrocious, the streets in some spots quite dirty and some of the once beautiful hotels are failing in a lot of areas!
I've never really noticed the florals and all the many plants that were around while on many walking tours through the area. But than again I never toted around a huge camera looking for pretty sites back then either. It was fun just to look around, I was surprised at all the photo ops available!
I came across this pink darling and she was really beautiful, I just had to take her photograph! I should have played around with the depth of field a little more but I still loved the result!
These were stunning to me when you look down on them. Love those pink edges!
When I looked at these later I realized they had to be some form of orchid with that cool lavender and that unmistakable center! They were delicately placed on another tree somehow by the landscaper artist of our hotel I believe.
Dinner and wine that a friend made! Her presentation is always awesome!
Of course palms trees are everywhere the further south you go! You see all sorts of varieties on the drive down!
And the beach which was our ultimate destination with it emerald water and white sand, You don't really have to travel to the caribbean to get that! The weather was perfect!
All in all I had a very good time and I loved spending time with my sis and friends plus I needed a getaway big time if you know what I mean. Sometimes a change of scenery is all you need to recharge! I've been working on some scrappy things since my return and I will share soon! Promise!
