Imagine if people were grateful for little things...cheap watercolors (me), ice cream, a sunny day with the sparest of clouds, 20$ when some only have pennies to spare! Being grateful for what we have is the hardest thing sometimes but the most rewarding.
I create sometimes to remind myself of these things, this one in particular was inspired by this talented lady! She's always inspiring and makes the happiest of layouts!
The world of mixed media has always sparked an interest in me and I've been wanting for awhile now to go one step past paper into using paint and other things in my scrapbooking! Most of the time I get inspired by art that I see and of course tons of things on pinterest!
I had talked about this wonderful color magic paper before in a previous post and I got to use it again for this layout. I cut it into small strips and painted some cool purples, lavenders and pinks on the edges to create the neat ombre effect. I even found some ribbons in my stash to paint and include here.
Expect to see more of these techniques around here soon. I'm excited for some of the new things coming out this season. One being this color magic paper...I gotta have more of it, I already find myself cringing when I have to use another sheet!
Today I'm grateful for being rested and having the time to create pretty things. What are you most grateful for this time of year? School is about to start so I know everyone is gearing up for the routine!
I just wanted to pop in today and share this fun layout with you guys...Have a great week!
Kim
