I’ve been dabbling in lots of it these days. It makes me feel like a kid again, to make colorful things. Maybe its because I never got the big 64 pack of crayons, ha,that I want to experience every color! Maybe its because there is a magic in every color and I love that ooo ahhh moment. Yes I think it’s the magic that I’m after, I always want to make beautiful moments on a page!
This weekend I gave in to peach and orange. I love these tones when blended together. It makes me think of my favorite time of day, you know when the sun is melting into the earth and the last bit of rays are saying their goodbyes. It hits your face with a certain unmistakable warmth…these are happy times…
This project began with that smile. I created a sort of frame to work around. I love frames because they remind me of hidden stories tucked away in boxes and squares which I’ve always been fond of. I cut a little opening and propped the frame up over another page with pop dots.
Behind the frame I tucked a page that I painted little peach circles on. I think the paper is by prima marketing. I got the idea after stamping on another project to paint and draw some little circles and layer inside the frame as well.
I've had fun adding a few mulitmedia touches to my layouts such as paint, glitter, and little sketched flowers. It definitely adds another layer and element to a page other then the tangible ones you have to work with.
I have to apologize for some of the blurryness on my photos...I think I might have had a tiny smudge on my camera lens...ooops!
Hope your week is going well...Until next time!
Thanks for stopping by!
