I've always been a sucker for pretty styling and beautiful vignettes of all kinds. It's only fitting that I spend a lot of my crafty time pulling things out, mixing and matching random elements and painting little cards and things I sketched just for fun. Most of the time these little things don't find homes on projects until much later.
After gathering a few lovely things together I began to see some quite pretty and simply styled pages that may or may not be completed one day. But I thought they were lovely enough to photograph.
This is usually how the process starts for me...I have all these little random piles of things that I think would look pretty on a layout. I've been totally smitten with these peachy orange tones lately!
Thanks to the most wonderful purchase in a long time...I got some of that amazing Heidi swapp color magic paper from hobby lobby the other day and this new extended line of hers is a game changer for sure! There are so many possibilities for this stuff! I think originally there were only folders, color magic alpha stickers and paper but this season she has more patterned paper, little cards, mini folders and a new color shine for creating some cool things! I can't wait to get a hold of it! I seriously have to have it all!
The best thing about this paper is it is completely customizable and can be painted, misted, smudged, watercolored etc etc... I painted this little card here with watercolors.

Sometimes the imagining and the process of creating a layout is what I like most along with looking at cute photos of my son and niece!
I wanted to share a bit of my process with you today...My layouts usually come pretty fast once I gather and make several other little tidbits. In the beginning I like to indulge quite a bit in the creativity of it all, it's fun and relaxing and not so very organized but sometimes you get the best results from chaos!
Hope you all are enjoying the weekend...I intend to catch up on my rest and hopefully dream about making pretty things...
Take care!
