Hi everyone...Hope all is well and you're staying dry where ever you are. This has been quite the eventful week all over hasn't it? We are actually having record breaking cold weather here in florida but it's been a relief for the most part.
I thought I'd stop in (since I didn't stop by over the weekend)! I've had this layout sitting and waiting for me to complete for a couple of days and I finally got around to working on it. I've been living by my mantra most of the time these days. And that is to paint or draw something everyday. Sometimes I only have about 30 minutes in between when I'm rushing to school and work and errands so I manage to paint or work on a little something everyday. I think I've gotten more of these things completed then actual scrapping! I have a few painted pages that I will share later.
I completed this layout using several layers of patterned papers and vellum. I love the light and airy feel that vellum can give to a page. I't a little tricky to adhere but I only used a few small dots of glue in certain areas. When using glue the vellum tends to want to curl in some spots. It's often better to use glue or pop dots.
You have to excuse the apparent wonkiness of parts of the layout. It was a little more technique required here then I'm used to so my egdes may not appear as straight as I wish they could have been. I'll definitely have to revisit this sketch again because I really enjoyed how it came out.
Thanks for stopping by today!
