I'm constantly inspired by florals of all kinds. It's such a soothing thing to see them and have their subtle fragrance in the air. And so much like life, their beauty is fleeting so you learn to cherish the small amount of time that they are with you! What can I say, my heart loves them! Most times I like to add them to my projects, I use them on gifts and tags, I hang them from a little banner on my wall.
Sometimes they do take over a project and for these cards I had to include a little floral inspired tag to go along with them. Whenever I give gifts I like to include lots of little things like tags and ribbons to make them extra special. Their might be a little post card attached with a note. It's almost impossible to give a gift without making it into an art project.
I made a set of simple cards using my STAEDTLER watercolor crayons...the more I learn to use them the more I love them. I will have to create more projects in the future using these for sure. So many possibilites! When I made the first card using the little hand drawn hearts I just new I had to make more. These are just a few that I completed this week!
I've gotten back to doodling little hearts and frames on my layouts. I don't know why I stopped. It may be that I'm a little impatient and sometimes don't like to take that extra step or maybe my STAEDTLER pens weren't nearby, I don't know. But I do know that I need to take an extra few minutes to add a few doodles because I love these cards and they might possibly be my favorite!
I wanted to pop in and share these lovely cards with you guys! Working on the STAEDTLER design team has opened up a whole new world for me and made me believe that I need to have more faith in myself. I'm still learning how to use so many mixed media and drawing supplies these days and some days I feel like my head will explode from all the ideas and things I want to try. I'm thankful for the opportunity to get to try them though! The journey is definitely a more colorful one!
If there are things you want to try like watercolor or stamping or whatever, just go and try it, have a little faith, sit them on your desk and look at them everyday...One day they will speak to you and you will make something wonderful!
Hope to be back soon to share some fun news!
Have a Mavelous Saturday everyone!
