I love the little moments of summer, the almost too amazing sunny days spent by the pool, the smell of the ocean and suntan lotion/sunscreen and all the days in between. We're taking it a lot easier around here these days. My son goes to day camp and we take naps in the afternoons. We have all sorts of plans for the summer like going to waterparks and the movies every week. And the good thing is there are no deadlines, no places to be in a hurry and that I love!
Since I have more layouts to share then I can even get to photograph these days and I haven't even gotten around to editing vacation photos, I thought I'd share a layout with you. I let a lot ot light in on this one and got inspired by the uber talented Wilna Furstenberg ! She's always coming up with amazing amazing layouts. I love how she treats products a little differently sometimes. We all have that stash of things we might never get around to using. Left over letters, chipboard and other doo-dads. She always works her magic with these things.
I started this layout with some pretty light papers, and then coated them with a light touch of gesso for an even lighter feel. Then pulling out some older packs of white thickers I began to lay them across the page. At first I thought to keep them white but eventually I had to add a little color to them! I was delighted at how they came out!
Of course I had to add a little layering of journal cards and flower petals in this vivid magenta! I love that sort of constrast! The magenta and indigo colors are what I've been so drawn to these days. My guess for next years color of the year...some sort of lavender or purple! hee hee I can feel it!
Glad you stopped by today...I really hope I can share some of my vacation photos soon. Maybe over the weekend! Until later!
Take care everyone!
