The color of my dreams is this lovely shade of pinky peach, a soft salmon I think, something like the color of soft sunrises and subtle horizons. I've been working on a moodboard of sorts using these soft colors and I wanted to make a dreamy layout to go along with it. Sometimes working on a moodboard inspires a project or vice-versa. You might just be seeing plenty of this color around here over the next week or so.
For most of my projects I like to use little bits and pieces of things I've made, for instance the hearts came from a little art project I did with my son. We just took out a brush and some black paint and started to paint little things and make splatters with spray paint. The hearts were my favorite part! Definitely have to make more of those. I like the little happy accidents when painting and just playing around with my brushes and things.
And I just couldn't resist using this photo of my cutie pie niece! Perfect because she's all into the pink and pretty things! The layout totally reminds me of her and her little happy heart!
Here's a little sneak of the moodboard I have laying on my desk right now and a card made using crepe paper in the most subtle pink. It has all the lovely pinks and soft peach colors. There are lots of bits that haven't found a home. some may become a part of some other projects, some are the beginning of cards and some will make it into my collage scrap box. They all liook so happy together...
Stay tuned for more of this moodboard, it's not through with me yet! hee hee
