For the last few weeks I've been playing around with gelatos on most of my pages. Their so fun and you can do all sorts of creative things to your Scrapbook layouts. This was an easy page I created using a few gelato painted circles and a circle punch.
What you'll need...
- watercolor paper or thick cardstock
- circle punch
- Gelatos in varing colors
- small paint brush
- White cardstock
- Glitter (optional)
I used my gelatos to make small circles all over my watercolor paper and then with a wet paint brush painted them in to fill the circle. It's best to get the paint brush really wet and sort of message it over the gelato color to seperate and blend it. Blending takes a little practice but once you get the hang of it the colors are so transparent and pretty.
While you are painting in your circles you can add a little glue and glitter to make a few sparkly circles. I always find some way to add a little glitter! hee hee
Once your circles are dry you can begin to punch them out with your circle punch. I created mine with an ombre effect in mind and made my colors go from light to a darker pink. Then lay them out on your page any way your prefer and glue them down...
I finished my layout off with a little machine stitching and a lot of layered goodies like labels, hand cut leaves and a little golden frame by Spare parts. You can layer all sorts of things to create a really unique page!
I do hope you'll pull out your watercolors or gelatos and make a gelato inspired layout! They take a little practice but I love them almost as much as watercolors because of their blendability and transparency. Thanks for stopping by today!
Take care
Kim

Hi, I just came over from the Scrapy Jedi. I just got a box of new gelatos for xmas and I think this will be a great project to start playing with them. Thanks for the beautiful project.
